A large part of my Quest this year will be learning choreographies, which is a great opportunity to make time and finally get around to memorizing dances I've been wanting to learn for months now.
Below are some dances that I want to learn and film by the end of the year. These dances/ combinations are ones that I may have stumbled upon on Youtube and Instagram, or they may have been performed by groups that I regularly follow.
Lucy Valley Cliff Ends: I first saw this dance as I scrolled through Instagram, and was entranced with the music and the way that Lucy danced. I remember attempting to copy her as I clutched my phone in one hand and clumsily stepped and turned- a stark contrast to her graceful, flowing moves. Hopefully with time and practice, I'll be able to get somewhere near her level of skill.
Red Velvet's Peekaboo: Virtually every K-Pop dance cover account has performed the chorus of Red Velvet's recent release. I like the fast pace of this dance, and plan to collaborate with a friend to film this together later in the year!
Gfriend's Me Gustas Tu: Gfriend is known for their precise, synchronized dancing and the choreography to this song is so cute! This is one of the first girl group dances I started learning.
Seventeen Crazy in Love: I've been wanting to learn for so long, but the choreo for this dance is pretty hard. This is definitely going to be one of the dances that will take a long time to learn and perfect and push me out of my comfort zone.
I hope to learn these dances and more throughout the course of this school year. In January and March I'll update my blog to let you know which dances I've learned so far and new ones I want to learn. Once I learn a dance, I'll try to film it and post it for you to see.
